1. Program and message purposes
The OKIPA Charitable Foundation text messaging program sends transactional messages and reminders related to your interactions with the Foundation, such as confirmations and reminders for activities you request or register for. Texts may be sent using automated messaging technology.
This program does not enroll you in advertising, marketing, or fundraising solicitations. If such a program is introduced, it will require appropriate separate disclosures and consent. Text messaging is not an emergency service or a channel for medical advice.
2. Voluntary, affirmative consent
You enroll by affirmatively choosing SMS communications through an online form that identifies the Foundation and explains the messages you agree to receive. The SMS choice must be optional and separate from required form acceptance. Providing a phone number, making a donation, using the website, or agreeing to the general Terms of Service does not by itself give SMS consent.
Consent is not a condition of donating, purchasing goods or services, participating in an event, or receiving assistance. By opting in, you confirm that you are the subscriber or authorized user of the mobile number and are authorized to consent to messages at that number. Do not enroll another person without their own valid consent.
Consent applies only to the disclosed sender and message purposes. We maintain records of your opt-in and related preferences. Changes to these terms do not expand the consent you originally gave.
3. Frequency, costs, and delivery
Message frequency varies based on your interactions with the Foundation and scheduled reminders. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile plan. Contact your mobile provider for plan details.
Delivery depends on your carrier, device, coverage, and service availability and is not guaranteed. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Use email or other appropriate channels if you need a timely response.
4. Opt out and withdraw consent
Reply STOP to any program text to unsubscribe. You may also use other recognized opt-out keywords, such as CANCEL, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE, REVOKE, or OPT OUT, or email Brittany@okipacf.org with the mobile number and your request to stop texts. You are not required to use one exclusive method to revoke consent.
We honor reasonable revocation requests promptly and within the time required by applicable law, no later than 10 business days where that legal limit applies. Once your opt-out is processed, you will not receive further program messages unless you provide new affirmative consent. You may receive one non-promotional message confirming your unsubscribe request.
Opting out of SMS does not cancel a donation, event registration, or other underlying transaction. If your mobile number changes or is reassigned, notify us and opt out the old number to help avoid sending messages to someone else.
5. Help and support
Reply HELP for program assistance or email Brittany@okipacf.org. Include your mobile number and the issue you are experiencing, but do not send payment credentials or medical information. Email support remains available if a keyword response does not resolve your concern.

6. Mobile privacy
We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone information, SMS opt-in data, or messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We disclose messaging information only to providers necessary to operate and deliver the program, subject to restrictions against independent marketing use, or where required by law. We do not share donor lists.
See our Privacy Policy for collection, use, disclosure, retention, security, and privacy requests. Necessary opt-out records may be retained to prevent future unwanted texts.
7. Program changes and related terms
We may change or discontinue the program and update these terms prospectively. We will provide any legally required notice or consent request. New messaging purposes require appropriate new consent, not just a revision to these terms. The Terms of Service govern general website use and donations; these SMS Terms govern the text messaging program where the two differ.
